Children spend significant time in car seats, often in hot cars where chemical off-gassing is accelerated. The foam padding in car seats has been found to contain halogenated flame retardants linked to neurodevelopmental harm.

Graco's Extend2Fit meets all safety standards but has not published flame retardant testing. The foam padding in car seats is a primary source of chemical exposure for children. Graco has not committed to removing halogenated flame retardants.
